Farm Crews

The ARC produces over 10,000 lbs of fresh fruits and vegetables per year, providing more than a third of the fresh produce used in our school cafeteria. Students are trained to prepare beds with compost, run drip irrigation, start transplants or direct seed, weed, irrigate and harvest all of the vegetables that we grow. In the process they learn soil science, pest management, water conservation, and the culture of each of the plants that we cultivate for consumption. Each week there are multiple farm crews, led by experienced senior farm leaders, who carry out the tasks required to keep our school farm healthy, productive and sustainable.
