Life Science Labs

My life science courses include more than 40 hours of practical laboratory work designed to build strong habits of scientific inquiry and analysis. Through hands-on investigations, students learn to use models, handle laboratory instruments responsibly, control variables, and collect, process, and interpret data with care and precision.

Laboratory activities span a wide range of biological concepts, from photosynthesis and cellular respiration to DNA extraction, phylogenetic modeling, and the construction of evolutionary clades. Across these experiences, labs function not simply as demonstrations, but as structured opportunities for students to practice scientific thinking, test ideas, and deepen their understanding of living systems.
