Youth Climate Activism

Over the past decade, I have worked with students in partnership with Youth United for Climate Crisis Action (YUCCA) to engage directly with climate policy and civic process in New Mexico. Through teach-ins, direct action trainings, and policy advocacy workshops, students have learned how climate decisions are made and who holds power within those systems. Many have testified at legislative hearings and helped organize strategic actions and interventions, developing a practical understanding of civic engagement and the responsibilities of climate leadership.
